After a brief hiatus over Christmas, when I took a break with the quill, recently I have been back, hunched over the next Jim Daley novel which so many of you have asked about after reading Whisky From Small Glasses.
As you may know, I have plotted(in my head)the first four of these books, of which 'Whisky' was the first manifestation. Plotting and writing are two very different things, and now sitting down to put life into it all, the game begins.
Strange thoughts and tangents appear, ideas spring fully formed into the head and find themselves on paper - or as flickering images on a computer screen, in my case.
This is why I said in a couple of interviews that sometimes the process of writing Whisky From Small Glasses, it appeared as the the novel was writing itself! Indeed, I had much the same experience yesterday, a plot twist appeared out of a blue sky - well, actually a very dolorous grey one in my part of the world - and was soon given life on the page as part of the next book.
So, I forge ahead; the file gets bigger, and the words pile up, into what will soon be book II in the saga of Jim Daley.
Remember, the usual drill, the print book is only showing 'out of stock' on Amazon, as it is now in a constant state of replenishment - as soon as a new batch of books arrive, they are immediately sent back out to cover existing orders- SO DON'T HESITATE!!
